Hygiene Prophylaxis + Recare
This service is also known as teeth cleaning and gum disease prevention. These visits are important not only for general appearance, but also for overall health care. Poor oral hygiene can lead to gum disease, infection, strokes, heart disease, and further complications. It is encouraged that everyone get a routine teeth cleaning done every six months to maintain proper hygiene. During these routine visits the hygienist will remove plaque and tartar build up. The purpose of this type of visit is to clean the surfaces of the teeth to leave them smooth and prevent bacteria from collecting.
Root Canal Therapy
This type of dental therapy is used to alleviate tooth pain and infection. The overall goal is to save a damaged or infected tooth to avoid total removal. This type of therapy is necessary when a cavity reaches its way into the pulp of the tooth. Regularly scheduled dental cleanings should prevent these problems from occurring. This therapy involves treating the infected tooth pulp and disinfecting the canals of the tooth.
Appliance Fittings
TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disorders are caused by grinding teeth or when the hinge connecting your jawbone to your skull gives you pain. TMJ can cause a variety of symptoms such as headaches, earaches, clicking of your jaw, and soreness in your jaw and face. A plastic appliance can be used to treat and prevent TMJ disorder. However, if not corrected surgery may be required.
Oral Cancer Screenings
An oral cancer screening is performed by the dentist to look for cancer and precancerous conditions of the mouth. The earlier cancer is identified the more likely a cure can be found.
Restorative Dentistry

Fillings
Decayed or stained teeth typically require fillings. The dentist will remove the decay and then the area will be cleaned thoroughly to prevent further infection and bacteria. Lastly, the doctor will fill the cleaned out area to restore teeth to their normal shape and function.
Crowns
Crowns fix chipped or cracked teeth by covering the damaged tooth with what is also called a cap. This not only strengthens the tooth, but also improves the overall appearance of a patient’s mouth.
Bridges, Restoring Implants, & Partial / Full Dentures
These apparatuses replace missing teeth to dramatically improve your smile for both aesthetics and function. Dr. Wells will determine which device is necessary based on the reason for the missing tooth or multiple teeth.
Cosmetic Dentistry
These procedures are done to improve one’s smile to be both whiter and brighter, and therefore increasing your self confidence. There are a variety of procedures that can be done to achieve this overall goal of a whiter smile. Bleaching is done in office and can offer immediate results.
